The Jib

For the film we are going to need some advanced but easy to build equiptment and one of these is know as a Jib Arm (more commonly called a Crane). These are some matterials we are going to need. Let me know if you have access to these things. We are also going to need some power drills corded ones are prefered but i will take some battery powerd ones (18 volt only) as long as you have the charger and more than one battery

Bits:
  • Screw driver bit
  • 1/8" drill bit
  • 3/16" drill bit
  • 1/4 " drill bit
  • 5/16" drill bit
  • 23/64" drill bit
  • 3/8 drill bit

Hardware:

  • 4--3/16"x1/4" Pan head machine screws w/ nuts
  • 4--1/4"x 1 1/4" pan head machine screws w/ nuts
  • 6-3/8" - 16 TPI x 4" bolts w/ washers, lock nuts and one wing nut (24 washers)
  • 12-#12 x 1 1/4" flat head wood screws
  • 12- 1/4" x 2" flat head machine screws w/ washers & wing nuts
  • 3- 5/16" x 3 1/2" carriage bolts w/ washers and wing nuts
  • 1 - 6" lazy susan bearing ( two piece)
  • 1 - 1/4" x 3" ful thread stove bolt/ machince screw w/ washer and wing nut
  • 4 - 6" strap hinges (6" from end to end, 2 1/2" wide)

Lumber

  • 3/4" thick sheet of plywood 2' x 2'
  • 3 - 8' long 2x4
  • 3 - 8' long 2x3 (at least two are STRAIGHT)

Screws( which is hardware... oh well)

  • 15 x 3" coarse thread drywall or deck screws
  • 3 x 1 5/8" coarse thread drywall screws

if you can get your hands on this stuff or know of anybody who does pleas let me know.
